How much space is required for the mobile climbing wall?
To set up the wall we need a firm and flat area of 6m frontage by 10m depth. Please also ensure that there are no over head cables or over hanging trees. We also require suitable vehicular access to the area where the wall is set up. Gated access (or otherwise) needs to be at least 2.5 m wide, and the access road needs to be wide enough to navigate an 11.6m long combined trailer and 4x4 towing vehicle. Towing height in the transport position is 2.6m. The overall height of the wall once erected is 8.1m.

How many people can climb the mobile climbing wall at one time?
4 climbers at one time. An average climb lasts for about 5 minutes, thus allowing for 48 climbers in the space of 1 hour, when running at its peak capacity.
What are the age ranges?
Minimum age for climbing the wall is 5 years. A child has usually reached sufficient height and body weight to enable them to physically climb. Mentally, their hand/eye coordination is also mature enough to navigate the wall. There is no maximum age, so long as one is physically fit enough to undertake climbing. Climbing is a strenuous activity, and should not be attempted if one is pregnant, has a weak heart, knees, back or neck injuries or any condition not suited to climbing.
Are you insured for the mobile climbing wall?
Yes we are fully insured with £5million Public Liability insurance with nationally recognised insurers Jardine, Lloyd, Thompson Leisure. Our mobile climbing wall is tested prior to operation and regular maintenance is carried out. Our Health and Safety book and accident book is available for inspection. We can also provide a risk assessment.
Will I require a power supply to operate the mobile climbing wall?
No, the wall requires no external power supply, however when lighting is required for evening events, power is required if adequate lighting is not available on site. Our lighting and generator can be supplied at an additional cost.
How much do you charge for the mobile climbing wall?

Who can climb the mobile climbing wall?
Anyone can climb the mobile climbing wall as long as they are between 3 and 22 stone and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
What should I wear for rock climbing?
We recommend wearing comfortable casual clothing such as t-shirt or long-sleeve sweatshirt, long trousers and flat comfortable shoes. In colder weathers thin or climbing gloves can be worn. Heels are not allowed, and loose clothing, scarves, chains, or neckware should be removed. Wide-bottomed or flared trousers are also not recommended.
What weather conditions affect the mobile climbing wall?
Our climbing wall can be used all year round and is fully waterproof. Due to safety reasons the wall will need to be lowered during severe weather such as heavy rain and high winds.
What is an automatic belay?
The auto belay automatically controls the rate of descent when a climber falls or chooses to descend from the wall. The function of the automated belaying system is to take up the slack in the climbing cable as the person climbs.
